 Princess Irina Golitsyna,
1916- 2006
known as Irene Golitzine
had a fashion house
in Rome.
Her portrait
for the American Vogue
a few years
before she died,

"Her most famous design was the evening pants she introduced in Florence about a decade after starting her company, with styles either slim and embroidered or flowing in gauzy fabrics. Diana Vreeland, in Vogue, called them “palazzo pajamas,” after the setting of the shows in the Palazzo Pitti."
