 Sailor, Paris, Gare Montparnasse

Soldiers, Porto, Portugal

Soldiers, sailors before anything else are travelers.

The final image, the second from Porto, is highly reminiscent of San Francisco's Union Square. The first photograph from Porto is phenomenally outstanding. I have been addressing the theme of your text, myself, this week. My impression is that soldiers and sailors are before anything else, hungry; but that their travels differ subtly. When sailors travel, the journey can be peaceable, and when soldiers travel, it seldom is; but that their journeys are alike in one particular not always remarked. Their youth is not their own.

This is a superior presentation, and I did not come here to quibble or to draw attention to myself. I came here with the expectation of being impressed, edified and delighted, and I was.
